BARC Wk 44 : Zee becomes leader of Urban HSM; Zee Anmol dominates U+R HSM

BARC Wk 14 : Star Plus retains leadership in Urban HSM; Dangal continues to top U+R and Rural

Mumbai : The BARC ratings for the week 44 for the period between Saturday, 27th October 2018 and Friday, 2nd November 2018 has unveiled the performances of channels in various categories. It is observed that in week 44 Zee Anmol has continued to top the U+R HSM category, while the Urban HSM seen a change in the market leader. Zee TV has emerged as the leader this week, pushing Star Plus to the No.2 position.

The Hindi GEC market in week 44 has witnessed a rearrangement in the rankings though it has not witnessed any new entrant in the top 10 list. Zee TV 790406 (000s) impressions has taken a leap to No.2 position against its position at No. 4 in week 43, therefore pushing last week’s runner up Star Utsav 684362 (000s) impressions to the 4th place this week. Star Bharat 758664 (000s) impressions has retained its position at the No.3 slot while Star Plus 658147 (000s) impressions, Colors 606875 (000s) impressions, Sony 557578 (000s) impressions, and Sony Pal 549560 (000s) impressions have also managed to retain their ranking of previous week. Dangal TV 438843 (000s) impressions has taken a step forward to occupy the 9th place giving the 10th place to Sony Sab 411613 (000s) impressions.

Hindi GEC Urban

The urban HSM category has seen a change in the first three ranking of the channel, however the ranking of the rest of the Hindi GEC’s remain the unchanged against the previous week. Zee TV 472928 (000s) impressions has leaped from the No.3 slot to emerge as the leader of the market, Star plus 450863 (000s) impressions has settled as the runner up this week while Sony 421046 (000s) impressions has occupied the 3rd place. Colors 416513 (000s) impressions, Star Bharat 365116 (000s) impressions, Sony Sab 309010 (000s) impressions are seen retaining their positions. While the ranking of Star Utsav 210615 (000s) impressions, Sony Pal 171991 (000s) impressions, Zee Anmol 153703 (000s) impressions and &TV 120928 (000s) impressions are also unchanged in week 44.

Hindi GEC Rural

The rural HSM category has witnessed a mild shuffle in the rankings of the Hindi GEC in week 44. While Zee Anmol 656131 (000s) impressions dominates the market, Star Utsav 473748 (000s) impressions has also managed its runner up position. Star Bharat 393548 (000s) impressions and Sony Pal 377569 (000s) impressions are seen interchanging their position standing at No. 3 and No4 slots. Dangal TV 339758 (000s) impressions has retained its 5th place while Zee TV 317478 (000s) impressions is seen climbing to the 6th slot pushing Rishtey 278130 (000s) impressions to the 7th place. The rankings of the rest of the Hindi GEC’s Big Magic 210676 (000s) impressions, Star Plus 207285 (000s) impressions and Colors 190362 (000s) impressions are unchanged in week 44.
