Mumbai: BharatPe, a financial services and UPI payments platform, has announced the appointment of Ajit Kumar as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this role, Ajit will lead BharatPe’s technology strategy and innovation roadmap, steering the next phase of product excellence, scalability, and reliability across its payments and lending ecosystems.
A seasoned technology leader with over 19 years of experience, Ajit has an extensive background in building and scaling UPI and bill payments platforms from the ground up. Prior to joining BharatPe, he served as Senior Vice President – Engineering at Paytm, where he played a key role in shaping large-scale fintech systems. He has also held leadership positions at Snapdeal (Shopo), Times Internet, and SAP Labs, driving technology-led transformation and innovation.
