Bitget spotlights gender equity in Web3 with global Women’s Day campaign
Share Share ShareShare

Mumbai: Bitget, the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), has unveiled a global campaign to mark International Women’s Day under its flagship Blockchain4Her initiative, reinforcing its commitment to inclusion and gender diversity in the blockchain ecosystem.

Anchored around the question “How can we achieve mass adoption without women?”, the campaign calls on the industry to address gender bias in Web3 and recognise the economic implications of exclusion. Bitget asserts that leaving out half of the global population places a structural limit on liquidity, innovation and long-term returns, positioning inclusion not only as a social priority but as a commercial imperative for sustainable growth.

“We already know there’s a multitude of issues to tackle around the representation of women, especially in STEM fields. Even in crypto, the disparity is big,” said Gracy Chen, CEO at Bitget. “It’s truly the role of bigger players to recognize the capabilities and influence women have, especially in the financial sector. As small as a step can be, each counts.”

As part of the initiative, Bitget is rolling out a global social media campaign aimed at recognising and challenging unconscious bias in Web3. A campaign film highlights how women are increasingly entering spaces historically dominated by men, and underscores the importance of women actively shaping the future of the industry. The company has invited industry leaders, builders, creators and users to share perspectives and propose actionable steps to foster more inclusive and accountable structures across Web3.

In collaboration with Bitget Wallet, the company will also introduce an International Women’s Day Limited Edition Card. The card features anti-bias and inclusivity-themed design elements and offers exclusive benefits for users who support gender diversity within blockchain. Bitget Wallet Card users can spend globally via Mastercard and Visa networks, with availability in over 50 countries across Europe, LATAM and APAC.

Offline engagement forms a key pillar of the campaign. Building on its “Lady Forward” proposition introduced last year, Bitget will host a series of interactive events across Southeast Asia, East Asia, Europe, the CIS and LATAM. These gatherings are designed as safe and open spaces for women to exchange experiences, expand networks and engage in discussions around leadership, finance and technology.

Activities will include creative workshops such as flower arrangement, perfume making, pottery and nail art, alongside networking sessions and panel discussions featuring women leaders from both Web2 and Web3. In Southeast Asia, the company will host a mini-conference, panel discussions and an Iftar dinner, underscoring the campaign’s focus on cultural inclusivity and community-driven dialogue.

Through its International Women’s Day initiatives, Bitget continues to advance Blockchain4Her as a long-term commitment to reshaping participation in crypto—framing diversity not as a constraint, but as a catalyst for broader adoption and stronger, more resilient markets.
