Brands join the bandwagon to celebrate World Music Day and International Yoga Day

Celebrating International Days gives brands a lot to talk about. Relating specific trending topics to one’s brand communication is definitely not an easy task, and brands tend to do so rather effortlessly.

Here are some of the brands that got into the conversation on World International Yoga Day and World Music Day. The two mega international days happened to be together. A lot for social media to take for one day…

Spotify India

Global music streaming service, Spotify which recently entered the Indian market took to twitter to beautifully ‘synchronize’ Music and Yoga into an effective message.

BIG FM

In their endeavour to make a difference to the lives of its listeners has urged them to change their perspective towards their health and fitness. Having recently undergone a re-launch with a new brand positioning ‘Dhun Badal ke Toh Dekho’ across its stations, BIG FM has tried to change perspectives for a healthier tomorrow. To inspire their listeners further, well-known fitness instructor Simmi Sakhuja, who has some big names of Bollywood as her clientele, conducted a yoga session with the entire network of BIG FM through Facebook Live.

The Yoga Institute

Yoga By The Bay in Mumbai

Coorganized by The Times of India, Shaina NC and Dr Mickey Mehta with The Yoga Institute, Santacruz, Mumbai

The mega event of The Yoga Institute, was presided over by Smt. Hansaji, Director of The Yoga Institute, and celebrated the 5th International Yoga Day at Marine Lines. Thousands of Mumbaikars participated in the biggest Yoga event of the city where they experienced Samatvam, which is like a Yoga Out Patients’Department a yoga OPD.

Smt. Hansaji inspired and motivated people to adopt Yoga as a holistic practice for life.

Many Yoga enthusiasts, Mumbai Police, NCC Cadets, Naval Officers and students from various schools and colleges dotted the Queens Necklace, experiencing the goodness of Yoga, chanting and enjoying themselves in the gentle breeze in unison. More than 15000 participants at Marine Drive Promenade benefited from the session conducted.

Viacom18’s International Theme – Yoga for Peace

On Yoga Day, Viacom18 organised a session for their employees with an aim to allow individuals to reach their potential by tapping into a space within that brings harmony and flow in their day to day life.
Viacom18 is engaged its employees to come and experience Yoga along with an acapella session of Music. This session had the top management along with all employees perform yoga together and promoting the importance of health and fitness at work. A sequence of asanas and Pranayama was practiced along with Om chanting towards the end of the session to release bottled up energy or emotions. A gratitude activity was played by each participant to sum the day.

Mtv Beats and Vh1 India

This World Music Day, nation celebrated some unique melodies with Vh1 India and MTV Beats who came together to present India’s first-of-its kind 24-hour online music festival. The two brands accomplished this incredible feat with an initiative, #LongLiveMusic that brings together 40+ distinguished artists by performing live across different genres on Facebook.
