Kochi: CAPITAIRE, a business consultancy firm, has announced the launch of True Legacy, a first-of-its-kind brand in India focused exclusively on succession planning for individuals, families, and business owners. The new vertical aims to address one of the most overlooked yet critical aspects of wealth protection—ensuring seamless transfer of assets across generations.
CAPITAIRE Founder Sreejith Kuniyil said that succession planning remains widely neglected despite its importance, and must be treated with the same seriousness as regulatory compliance and tax responsibilities.
“Not making a succession plan is in reality a financial crime against the family and dependents. When there is no succession plan, the consequence is that the government then decides one’s legacy based on inheritance laws”, Sreejith said.
He added that True Legacy is dedicated to offering structured, transparent, and professionally managed succession planning solutions. Sreejith highlighted that more than Rs 2 lakh crore worth of bank deposits, insurance proceeds, and other investments remain unclaimed or inaccessible due to missing documentation and the absence of a proper succession plan.
Group Meeran Chairman Navas Meeran stressed that early succession planning is essential for promoter families seeking long-term wealth protection. He noted that promoters should initiate these processes early and involve the next generation in business decisions, enabling them to be properly guided during the transition.
The launch event saw participation from prominent business leaders and industry experts including Muhammed Madani K of ABC Group, Nikhil Gopalakrishnan, Vinodini Sukumar, and Hamdan Al Hassani, who shared insights on continuity, resilience, and safeguarding wealth for future generations.
The conclave also witnessed the release of A Journey of an Entrepreneur, authored by Sreejith Kuniyil.
