Captain Steel India Limited, India’s innovative steel manufacturer, has appointmented of Amar Prakash as its National Head – Marketing and Strategy (SLM). Prakash has 20 years of marketing leadership experience, adept at managing large teams and creating innovative strategies across various sectors nationally.
In his new endeavour with Captain Steel India Limited, Prakash will work on bringing the TMT category closer to consumers, increasing its involvement and enhancing the Brand Equity of Captain Steel. He aims to use consumer and trade insights for sales & marketing, develop a communication strategy, and accelerate the national presence of Captain Steel India Limited.

In his previous role at Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, Mr. Amar Prakash played a key role in transforming ‘Konark Cement’ into a leading brand, transitioning from a commodity to a prestigious one. He successfully repositioned ‘Konark Cement’ and introduced ‘Konark DSP,‘ later upgrading it to ‘Dalmia DSP,’ showcasing his versatile leadership in marketing and strategy across various business areas.
Prakash excelled in Cement, Telecom, and Advertising at Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited, Reliance Communications Limited, and Sistema Shyam Teleservices Limited. His deep understanding of consumer needs and rural marketing drove brand success. Amar pioneered innovative strategies with process efficiency.
