Mumbai: Mirchi has appointed Chandan Das as Vice President & Business Director, strengthening its leadership as it accelerates integrated, platform-led growth across content and monetisation. Chandan joins Mirchi from JioStar, where he most recently served as Director – Digital & TV Revenue Generation – South, and was associated with the organisation for over 11 years.
In his new role, Chandan will focus on driving growth across content, digital monetisation, MPing—Mirchi’s data-led digital audio and video monetisation platform—social ecosystems, brand partnerships, and experiential activations, with an emphasis on building scalable solutions at the intersection of content, commerce, and communities.
Updating the new position on his LinkedIn handle, Chandan shared, “I’m excited to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President & Business Director at Mirchi! with end-to-end P&L ownership across five radio stations in the state Karnataka.
In this role, I’m focused on driving platform-led, integrated growth across content, digital monetisation, MPing (Mirchi’s data-led digital audio & video monetisation platform enabling targeted, measurable brand solutions), social ecosystems, brand partnerships and experiential activations — building scalable solutions where content, commerce and communities intersect.
Having spent over a decade leading businesses within large media ecosystems, I believe sustainable growth today is driven by consumer insight, data-led decisioning, cross-platform monetisation and long-term partner value creation. That lens will guide how we build, scale and innovate.

Prior to JioStar, Chandan has worked with organisations including HT Media Ltd, Info Edge India Ltd, DPSC Ltd, Lakme Lever, and Bharti Axa Life Insurance, where he began his career as a Recruitment Officer in 2008. He brings extensive expertise in revenue generation, digital media, strategic partnerships, sales leadership, and business relationship management.
