Kerala: Chandrika, the iconic Ayurvedic soap brand from Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting, has unveiled a special Onam TVC campaign that beautifully blends cultural heritage with heartfelt storytelling. With an illustrious legacy of over 80 years, Chandrika has been a household companion in Kerala, and the new campaign reinforces its deep-rooted connection with the state’s most cherished festival.

The film, featuring actress Devika Sanjay and veteran artist Manohari Joy, captures the essence of Onam through an emotional and playful narrative. It opens with Devika preparing for the celebrations when she discovers her Chandrika soap missing—spirited away by a mischievous child. What follows is a light-hearted chase through a traditional Kerala home adorned with pookalams, oonjals, and festive garlands, culminating in a tender moment with her grandmother (played by Manohari Joy). The story reinforces the sentiment: “It’s not Onam without Chandrika.”

Conceptualized by Karikku Bounce, the campaign highlights Chandrika’s timeless role in Kerala’s socio-cultural fabric. By bridging generational bonds, the TVC reflects how the brand has remained an integral part of daily life and festive traditions for decades.

Speaking on the launch, Prasanna Rai, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, said, “This Onam campaign is a heartfelt tribute to the women of Kerala who have welcomed us into their homes and hearts for over eight decades. Chandrika has always been more than just an Ayurvedic soap—it has become a beloved part of their family heritage. The narrative, with its playful chase and touching moment between grandmother and granddaughter, beautifully captures how deeply intertwined Chandrika is with the spirit of Onam—just like the pookalam or the sadya. Through this campaign, we are reaffirming our commitment to honoring and celebrating the timeless traditions and values that our consumers hold dear.”

The Onam TVC is live across television and digital platforms, including YouTube, ensuring wide visibility during the festive season.
