Chennai: S.P Balasubrahmanyam (SPB) is one of the greatest and most versatile singers of our time. Having rendered over 40,000 soulful songs across 16 languages, SPB has touched many lives with his booming and melodious voice. In an effort to celebrate the virtuoso and his rich contribution to the music industry as he fights back health complications, COLORS Tamil is set to telecast a specially curated tribute show, Aayiram Nilavey Vaa on Sunday, 20th September 2020 at 12 p.m.
Aptly titled after his debut song, the program besides bringing together industry doyens will also unite thousands of fans across the globe with an aim to collect wishes and pray for his recovery. From Music Director Ilayaraja to Superstar Rajinikanth, the program will showcase various artists from the Tamil film industry sharing interesting anecdotes from their interactions with SPB and collectively praying for his health. Spread across 6 hours, the tribute show will also celebrate the wide array of songs rendered by SPB across genres through mini-concerts by famous playback singers.
