Content Marketing Summit Asia 2016 celebrates grand success

Mumbai: CMS Asia concluded it’s 3rd annual edition on 23rd September at Mumbai with over 300 delegates from Marketing, Publishing & Agency communities. At a packed ballroom of Trident BKC, things were set on fire right from the word go. AmarjitBatra, CEO of OLX & first Keynote Speaker, stressed upon the fact how content has become the most important element in marketing today. Sandeep Bhushan of Facebook also emphasized that the timing is perfect right now to explore content marketing. Flipkart’sSenjam mesmerized the audience with Flipkart way of storytelling. Using Salman Khan’s dialogues from blockbusters, Ashish Patil of Yashraj Films conveyed how to be a “Sultan” of content marketing. Rohtash Mal of EM3 Agri Services, second Keynote Speaker encouraged marketing professionals to find a strong purpose of their marketing activities.

The conference had around 30 speakers with back to back sessions scheduled through the day including 3 panels where Brand, Publishers & Agency partners discussed the need of content marketing for the new-age consumers.

With Rain & Terror alerts around, the conference hall was houseful from Summit Chairperson RP Singh’s opening address onward. With active social media conversations throughout the day, CMS Asia’s hash tag #CMSAsia2016 was one of the most trending topics of the day.  This was the first time this conference was organized in Mumbai after two hugely successful editions at New Delhi.

“I am personally satisfied with the response to 3rd edition as we continue to raise the bar every year. It’s a great feeling as the producer of this event that we were able to live up to the expectations of attendees. Unlike other events, we focus only on great content with almost Zero sponsored sessions so that CMS Asia becomes a platform to learn for every one rather than a platform to sell services. We have also ensured for last 3 years that no complimentary passes are issued assuming that there are people who are always willing to pay for good content. The reason that we had to stop taking registrations 2 days prior to the event, is a big proof which proved our assumptions right” says RP Singh, Conference Producer & Chairperson, while announcing that next edition will be held at Delhi NCR.

Country’s most aspired CMS Asia awards in 5 categories were also announced on the same day. Y-Films from YRF walked away with Content Marketing Agency of the Year & Content Marketing Innovator of the Year awards. Brooke Bond’s Six Pack Band was declared Content Marketing Campaign of the Year, which was also created by Y-Films. Content Marketing Brand of the Year was awarded to Nescafe & comedian Kapil Sharma was declared Content Marketing Personality of the Year.

The conference had Sirez has Principal Partner and it was Powered By ET Now. VML tied up with the event as the Associate Partner and there were more than 15 other partners who contributed to grand success of the conference.
