With this move, Danube Group expands beyond its established presence in real estate, retail, building materials and hospitality, marking a strategic foray into the fast-growing digital sports media space. The launch underscores the Group’s commitment to diversification and its focus on tapping into high-engagement, consumer-driven sectors that blend content, culture and technology.

Speaking at the launch, Anis Sajan said, “Today, Danube Group takes a major leap into a brand-new segment. As the UAE becomes a global hub for the sport, this platform will bring world-class cricket content, storytelling, and exclusive access to fans worldwide.”
Headquartered in Dubai, Mr. Cricket UAE Media Group becomes the UAE’s first dedicated cricket-focused digital media house, reflecting the country’s growing ambition to strengthen its position within the global sports ecosystem. The platform will initially focus exclusively on cricket, leveraging the UAE’s strong association with the sport and Sajan’s extensive global network. Over time, the Group plans to expand into coverage of other major sports, evolving into a comprehensive multi-sport digital media platform.
The platform will offer a wide range of content, including live and real-time cricket coverage, exclusive interviews with international players, premium digital video productions and studio shows, social-first short-form content, documentary-style storytelling rooted in cricket culture, and behind-the-scenes insights across global leagues.
The launch comes at a time when the UAE has firmly established itself as a major destination for international cricket, hosting tournaments such as the T20 World Cup, Asia Cup, ILT20, T10 matches and several bilateral and international fixtures. The new digital platform adds another dimension to the nation’s expanding sports footprint.
Highlighting the UAE’s multicultural cricket audience, Sajan added, “The UAE has truly become a home away from home for people of many nationalities like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, united by their love of cricket, alongside expatriates from England, Australia, South Africa, and beyond who are also cricket lovers.” He further noted, “Hence, launching a world-class cricket media platform here is a step toward cementing the nation’s role not just in hosting the sport, but in shaping how it is consumed by these audiences.”
As Danube Group continues to broaden its business horizon, the entry into digital sports media aligns with its long-term vision of innovation, diversification and deeper community engagement. The launch of Mr. Cricket UAE Media Group marks the beginning of a new vertical for the Group, bringing together technology, entertainment and sports culture under a single umbrella.
Concluding the announcement, Sajan said, “Cricket has always been a passion for me for the last 45 years, will continue to be my passion, and will never be treated as a business. Cricket mera pyaar hai, koi karobar nahi. Even though this is a new segment in the group, it comes straight from the heart.”
