Dentsu Creative Webchutney boosts creative leadership with new national team

Mumbai: Dentsu Creative Webchutney has announced the formation of a new National Creative Leadership team, a strategic move designed to drive the agency’s vision of bold, insight-driven creativity. The agency has appointed eight National Creative Directors (NCDs) across key regions of India to lead its creative endeavors. This leadership restructuring further demonstrates Dentsu Creative Webchutney’s commitment to pushing creative boundaries while remaining deeply rooted in local insights.

The new National Creative Directors (NCDs) are Ajeet Shukla and Giamaria Fernandes for the West region, Arijit Sengupta and Mark Flory for the South, and Romit Nair, Moumita Pal, Abhijeet Ray, and Manzoor Alam for the North. These NCDs will report directly to Surjo Dutt, Chief Creative Officer (CCO) at Dentsu Creative Webchutney.

With over 80 clients and a robust team of more than 400 creative professionals, Dentsu Creative Webchutney is renowned for delivering exceptional, locally relevant advertising solutions that continue to set new standards in the industry.

A New Approach to Creative Leadership: DIY Philosophy

In a move that redefines traditional creative leadership, Dentsu Creative Webchutney is introducing its ‘Do It Yourself’ (DIY) philosophy under the mantra ‘NCD Also Stands for DIY’. Unlike traditional leadership models where creative directors often step away from hands-on work, Dentsu Creative Webchutney’s new leadership structure encourages active involvement in the creative process.

Surjo Dutt, CCO of Dentsu Creative Webchutney, explained, “’Do It Yourself’ is a brutally simple, brilliantly effective, and often forgotten aspect of creative leadership. At Dentsu, we believe leaders should lead not only with direction and experience but by example. We want our leaders to not just guide, strategize, and build client relationships, but to create landmark advertising themselves. This approach establishes creativity benchmarks and accelerates creative standards. I live and breathe this philosophy, as will our NCDs and our next generation of creative leaders.”

Dutt further emphasized, “We have an outstanding set of NCDs, each of whom is an exceptional creator in their own right. They don’t just talk about creativity; they live it.”
