Mumbai: Dentsu India celebrated the ninth edition of One Day for Change (ODfC), its global annual volunteering initiative, reinforcing the network’s belief that business thrives when people and society thrive. This year’s theme focused on how everyday choices create collective impact, reflecting Dentsu’s Sanpo-Yoshi philosophy of “good for business, good for people, and good for society” and exemplifying its Business to Business to Society (B2B2S) commitment in action.
At Dentsu, ODfC goes beyond a day of service, serving as a tangible expression of the network’s philosophy of integrating sustainability, social impact, and responsible value creation into its culture, operations, and client partnerships. Under Dentsu’s 2030 Value Creation Strategy, ODfC acts as a flagship programme that turns purpose into practice, shaping inclusive, sustainability-led strategies for clients while embedding societal impact into business outcomes.
For the 2025 edition, Dentsu India partnered with Enabling Leadership, a project under Pragatee Foundation that builds life and leadership skills among children from underserved communities. Volunteers conducted hands-on building blocks-based workshops across offices and structured online mentoring sessions focused on communication, digital literacy, and financial literacy.
Over four weeks, 122 Dentsu volunteers worked with 73 students in multiple cities, helping them develop creativity, problem-solving, adaptability, and confidence. The programme also gave Dentsu employees firsthand experience of attentive, values-driven leadership, reinforcing the human-centred approach that guides the organisation’s work with clients.

Speaking about the initiative, Harsha Razdan, CEO, South Asia, Dentsu, said, “One Day for Change reminds us that impact doesn’t always come from grand gestures; it often starts with the intent to do something small, consistently, for someone else. This year, our people across India brought that intent to life with genuine care, showing how compassion becomes stronger when it is shared. ODfC has grown into a reflection of who we want to be as an organisation – responsible, empathetic, and present for our communities. If there is one message this initiative reinforces each year, it is that positive change is within reach when we choose to act with purpose.”

Narayan Devanathan, President & CSO, South Asia, Dentsu, added, “ODfC is a living expression of our B2B2S philosophy. It reminds us that progress is shaped not by scale, but by the sincerity with which we choose to show up: as individuals, as an organisation, and with our clients. When our people spend time with young learners, they open up possibilities that extend well beyond a single day. These moments deepen our culture and refine the perspective we bring to clients on their own sustainability journeys. This is Sanpo-Yoshi in practice: good for people, good for society, and, in turn, good for business.”

Ravi Sonnad, CEO, Enabling Leadership, commented, “At Enabling Leadership, we believe every child deserves the chance to develop the skills that matter – creativity, teamwork, problem-solving and resilience. Dentsu’s nationwide employee volunteering efforts have brought these values alive for our students in remarkable ways. Thank you Dentsu for standing with us.”
Through One Day for Change, Dentsu demonstrates how its global purpose – generating ideas for the future to solve societal challenges through business – is realised through consistent, measurable action, highlighting the link between sustainability, creativity, and positive societal impact.
