Mumbai: Dish TV India is accelerating its diversification strategy with a strong push into non-DTH segments, aiming to generate one-fourth of its revenues from these businesses over the next 18–24 months.
The company, a leading direct-to-home (DTH) service provider, has entered the integrated smart television market with the launch of its new VZY range. The smart TVs combine DTH and OTT entertainment into a single device, positioning themselves as a complete home entertainment hub. The range will be rolled out across leading retail outlets and online platforms nationwide.
Dish TV’s non-DTH portfolio already includes Watcho, its over-the-top (OTT) streaming platform introduced in 2019, and Shopzop, a quick-commerce venture launched in August 2025. Shopzop currently lists over 4,000 products, marking the company’s entry into the fast-growing digital commerce space.
With these initiatives, Dish TV is looking to consolidate and expand its presence beyond traditional broadcasting. The integrated VZY smart TV line, alongside its OTT and commerce ventures, forms part of a broader strategy to build sustainable alternative revenue streams and tap into the evolving digital consumption ecosystem.
