New Delhi: The Dream League of India (DLI), the country’s biggest tennis ball cricket league, has announced the appointment of Ashwin Haryani as its Strategic Consultant. With Ashwin on board, DLI will focus on expanding across India while strengthening its grassroots base to support young and talented players.
Ashwin Haryani brings over a decade of experience in gaming, esports, and business leadership. Most recently, he served as India’s Country Head at Ampverse, where he launched and scaled College Rivals, India’s biggest college-level esports league. In 2016, he co-founded GamingMonk, an esports community platform that grew to serve over 1.5 million gamers nationwide. In 2021, GamingMonk was acquired by Mobile Premier League (MPL), where Ashwin later led the esports division across India, the US, and Indonesia.
In his new leadership role at DLI, Ashwin will spearhead the league’s expansion strategy while guiding its national and international growth vision, ensuring the establishment of a strong grassroots talent pipeline.
Rishabh Bhatia, Director, Dream League of India, said, “Ashwin’s experience in building communities and taking them to the next level will help us grow DLI faster. His advice and vision will guide us as we shape the future of this league.”
Sharing his excitement about the role, Ashwin Haryani added, “Grassroots talent has always been the heartbeat of cricket, and DLI is creating the right platform for it to flourish. I’m excited to be part of this journey where young players get the exposure, training, and opportunities they truly deserve. Together, we can take this format to newer heights and give aspiring cricketers a real chance to shine on bigger stages.”
The Dream League of India (DLI) is India’s premier tennis ball cricket tournament featuring six teams across two categories: juniors (13–18 years) and seniors (18 years and above). With Sonu Sood as the League Commissioner and prominent personalities like Saleem Merchant associated, DLI has rapidly emerged as a promising platform for discovering and training top young players.
Through its affiliation with the International Tennis Cricket Federation (ITCF), the league aims to provide international exposure and opportunities for rising talent. Player registrations are currently open on the official website and the Starzpit App, with nationwide trials to be conducted by more than 1,500 certified coaches.
