Gurugram: Elan Group has announced the appointment of Mark Griffiths as Chief Operating Officer – Projects, marking a significant move to further strengthen its project execution and operational capabilities amid its expanding real estate and infrastructure portfolio.
An industry veteran with over 34 years of international experience, Griffiths brings deep expertise across complex construction, infrastructure, and large-scale real estate developments spanning India, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia. His appointment underscores Elan Group’s focus on world-class project governance, quality delivery, and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Elan Group, Griffiths held senior leadership roles with global construction and development majors including Leighton Asia, Lodha Group, Laing O’Rourke, John Holland, and most recently Albawani in Riyadh. At Albawani, he served as Portfolio Director, overseeing critical components of Saudi Arabia’s landmark NEOM mega-projects.
During his tenure as Country Manager – India at Leighton Asia, Griffiths led pan-India real estate operations delivering projects valued at over USD 2 billion, driving sustained business growth while maintaining high standards of execution. At Lodha Group, he played a key role in strengthening large residential portfolios through enhanced pre-contracting strategies, safety frameworks, and quality controls.
In his new role at Elan Group, Griffiths will oversee end-to-end project execution across the company’s developments, with a focus on delivery timelines, cost optimisation, quality assurance, and operational efficiencies.

Griffiths holds a degree in Construction Management from the University of Canberra, Australia, and is widely recognised for combining hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership across large, multi-stakeholder projects.
