Mumbai: Eros Innovation has secured approximately USD 150 million in new capital and strategic transactions, marking a transformative milestone as the company advances its vision of becoming a next-generation, AI-powered global media and entertainment platform. Announced across London and Abu Dhabi, the development reinforces the company’s USD 2 billion valuation, backed by over USD 1 billion in assets, zero external debt, and positive free cash flow.
Founder and Chairman Kishore Lulla said the new funding significantly strengthens the company’s scale and long-term strategy. “With over USD 1 billion in assets, USD 150 million in new capital and acquisitions, USD 35 million in EBITDA last year, and a clear trajectory to exceed USD 100 million by December 2026, Eros Innovation is scaling with both profitability and discipline,” Lulla noted.
He added, “We are building the sovereign creative infrastructure of the future — where content, capital, and computation converge to deliver intelligent and ethical entertainment to billions of people.”
The USD 150 million transaction includes USD 50 million in primary capital led by Plenitude Capital at the Dubai International Financial Centre, advised by Greenband, and around USD 100 million in strategic acquisitions across film, music, and AI-driven creative and technology assets. The funds will support expansion of AI infrastructure and compute capacity, immersive content production, and growth of the company’s monetizable IP library to reinforce recurring revenues.
A major pillar of this next phase is Eros GenAI, a proprietary multimodal foundation-model platform built with IIT Chennai. Trained on 1.5 trillion cinematic, musical, behavioral, and cultural tokens, it is positioned as India’s first sovereign cultural AI stack. Its features include AI-driven video generation, auto lip-sync and voice synthesis, generative audio, and intelligent character creation. Eros GenAI will underpin entertainment tools, creator applications, and virtual/live experiences across the company’s ecosystem.
Eros Innovation has also entered an agreement to acquire Empirical Wax, a London-based immersive entertainment studio specializing in real-time AI-driven musical and cinematic environments. The studio will integrate into the Eros Xperiences division, strengthening capabilities in live avatar concerts, virtual stages, mixed-reality productions, and cross-platform storytelling across mobile, AR/VR, and physical venues.
Additionally, the company has completed the acquisition of a USD 97 million IP portfolio, adding films, music, and multilingual digital assets that boost both licensing opportunities and AI training resources.
With over 80 million subscribers, a 12,000-title film library, 100,000 AI-ready characters, and 2 billion global fans, Eros Innovation operates one of the world’s most extensive entertainment ecosystems. These assets will power the forthcoming Eros Universe Super App, a creator-economy platform unifying AI tools, tokenized content, character-led storytelling, and immersive experiences. Designed for global audiences, the app will enable creators, partners, and fans to collaborate and co-create stories in real time across markets.
