Mumbai: FITPASS, a fitness and wellness membership startup, has launched its latest campaign ‘Thoda Fit, Thoda Rich’, a digital-first initiative designed to reward consistency in fitness with actual monetary incentives. The campaign revolves around the 6-7-8 Challenge, a structured habit-building framework that turns gym streaks and clean eating into a tangible financial benefit.
India’s fitness paradox — a love for indulgent food alongside a growing obsession with gyms, protein, and wellness content — inspired the campaign. FITPASS identified that while millions know how to stay fit, almost 50% quit fitness routines within the first few months due to programs being too intense or disconnected from daily life.

Akshay Verma, Co-Founder of FITPASS, explained, “Indians love two things: staying healthy and making money. So why not combine them? We noticed that almost 50% of people quit fitness programs in the first few months because they’re either too intense or they don’t fit into real life. With this campaign, we wanted to reward effort, not perfection. Small steps, real rewards. Thoda Fit, Thoda Rich. Simple.”
He added, “Wealth is inherited but fitness is something you must build yourself. And honestly, what you do in your 20s, 30s, and 40s decides whether you’re thriving or just surviving in your 70s and 80s. It’s about time we put actual value on showing up.”
The campaign flips the traditional fitness transaction on its head. Participants are rewarded with real money — not discount coupons or app badges — for completing consistent workouts and maintaining healthy eating habits. This approach forms India’s first behavior-verified, habit-reward fitness model, emphasizing practicality, sustainability, and small daily wins.

Arushi Verma, Co-Founder of FITPASS, added, “The harsh reality is that 60% of Indians lose their lives to lifestyle diseases. Most of these are preventable with movement and proper nutrition. Traditionally, people paid hefty money to get fit, but the returns couldn’t be compared to the investment. That’s demotivating. But with ‘Thoda Fit, Thoda Rich,’ we’re flipping the script. Fitness becomes about building simple, consistent habits that help you move and eat clean. Earning your fitness goals shouldn’t be a daunting task — you can have fun while making progress. And maybe get a little payday too.”
The campaign also incorporates behavioral science, leveraging a 21-touchpoint habit loop to help participants convert actions into automatic habits. FITPASS emphasizes consistency over intensity, small habits over dramatic overhauls, and momentum that grows both health and bank balances.
To launch the campaign, Verma teamed up with comedian Gaurav Kapoor for a tongue-in-cheek video highlighting Indian skepticism around fitness promises. “Are you running a startup or Phir Hera Pheri’s Laxmi Chit Fund?” Kapoor asks, perfectly capturing the cultural humour that FITPASS taps into.
The 6-7-8 Challenge is simple:
- Month 1: Complete 6 workout days and/or 6 days of clean eating
- Month 2: Level up to 7 days
- Month 3 onwards: Maintain 8 days consistently
Participants can log workouts anywhere — gyms, parks, yoga classes, or even at home. Clean eating is tracked alongside workouts, making the program flexible and realistic for Indian lifestyles.
With ‘Thoda Fit, Thoda Rich,’ FITPASS aims to transform the nation’s approach to fitness, creating a culture that rewards habits, not just aspiration, and where wellness is accessible, sustainable, and incentivized. The campaign is live now, challenging India to turn good intentions into tangible results — in health and earnings.
