Mumbai: In a market crowded with new smartphone launches and conventional media noise, breaking through to Gen Z and millennial consumers requires more than visibility — it calls for innovation and interactivity. Stepping up to the challenge, India-based mixed reality pioneer Flam has partnered with Nothing Phones to deliver a groundbreaking print-to-AR brand experience for the UAE market.
On August 6, 2025, readers of Khaleej Times witnessed a traditional newspaper ad reimagined. The Nothing Phone (3) print creative featured a QR code that, when scanned, transported users into an immersive Mixed Reality (MR) experience. Powered by Flam’s proprietary tech, the phone seemingly popped out of the newspaper, brought to life with sleek, futuristic animations that highlighted its signature transparent design.
The activation not only demonstrated the design ethos of the Nothing Phone (3) but also underscored Flam’s mission to make mixed reality mainstream by turning everyday media touchpoints into interactive storytelling moments.
This innovative execution was the result of close collaboration between Flam’s creative and technical teams:
