Bengaluru: In a bold move to democratize digital advertising, Flipkart has launched ‘Advertise Now, Pay Later’ (ANPL), an innovative program enabling sellers to run ad campaigns with zero upfront financial commitment. With no joining fees, interest, penalties, or hidden charges, the initiative aims to help sellers boost visibility, reach, and sales while eliminating financial friction.
“At Flipkart, we’re committed to making advertising more inclusive, accessible, and results-driven,” said Vijay Iyer, Vice President and General Manager, Flipkart Ads. “With ‘Advertise Now, Pay Later’, we’re removing the financial and operational hurdles that often hold back small businesses, new brands, and first-time advertisers. This is more than a feature, it’s a step forward in our mission to empower sellers by democratising digital advertising on Flipkart.”
Already adopted by over 24,000 sellers, ANPL introduces a line-of-credit-based model where ad spends are deducted from the seller’s earnings on Flipkart the following month. This eliminates the need for traditional postpaid approval models like ROs and POs, providing instant, hassle-free access to ad solutions.
The Flipkart Ads portal supports multiple ad formats including Product Listing Ads (PLA), Product Contextual Ads (PCA), and AI-recommended campaigns, giving sellers real-time insights into campaign performance and billing. To streamline adoption, the platform also includes step-by-step videos and guides within the Ads portal, ensuring a frictionless onboarding experience.
Ajay Pandey, owner of Ajro Deal and a participating seller, shared, “ANPL gives me a full month’s breathing space. No upfront payment, no daily transfers — just growth. I focus on sales, and this feature takes care of the rest.”
By lowering entry barriers and simplifying ad execution, Flipkart’s ANPL is set to revolutionize how sellers—especially small businesses and first-time advertisers—leverage digital marketing. It marks a strategic leap in Flipkart’s broader vision to empower sellers and build a more inclusive digital economy.
