GAIL taps influencers for next phase of “Waah Kya Energy Hai” campaign to promote clean energy solutions

New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited, a natural gas company, has rolled out the next phase of its successful “Waah Kya Energy Hai” campaign, this time powered by influencer marketing to promote Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) as vital pillars of India’s clean energy future.

After the success of the original mini-series that featured heartwarming stories around domestic and commercial gas use, the campaign has now transitioned into an influencer-led format. This new phase taps into the reach and relatability of digital creators to highlight the everyday benefits of natural gas, positioning it as a modern, safe, and sustainable energy solution.

Content creators from across India are showcasing how CNG and PNG are powering vehicles, homes, and businesses with safety, affordability, and efficiency. Through reels, vlogs, testimonials, and BTS stories, influencers are demonstrating how natural gas not only reduces emissions but also enhances everyday living. The campaign particularly aims to engage urban and semi-urban audiences through platforms like Instagram, where users can follow the journey via GAIL’s official handle, @gailindia.

With over 2,800 CNG stations across 72 locations in 20 states and UTs, and a growing PNG footprint in residential and commercial zones, GAIL is significantly contributing to India’s low-carbon future. The campaign puts a spotlight on these developments with engaging content that blends infrastructure visuals, animated explainers, and user-driven narratives.

Dr. Jyoti Kumar, Head – Corporate Communications, GAIL (India) Limited, remarked, “This campaign is a celebration of the quiet but impactful transition to clean energy happening across the country. By collaborating with influencers who connect authentically with their audiences, we are making conversations around sustainability more relatable, actionable, and widespread.”

“It’s not just about fuel—it’s about empowering citizens to make better choices for the environment and their everyday lives. This phase of the campaign ensures that energy awareness goes beyond information, becoming a movement shaped by voices people trust,” the spokesperson added.

The latest extension of “Waah Kya Energy Hai” reflects GAIL’s long-standing commitment to public education, carbon reduction, and cleaner energy alternatives. With this influencer-led push, GAIL aims to further energize India’s clean energy narrative and inspire change through everyday choices.
