Gujarat Media Company moves into Phase 2 of its growth journey

Mumbai: Gujarat Media Company, founded just over three years ago, is entering Phase 2 of its growth journey with an eye on structured expansion, new media acquisitions, and a transition into a private limited entity. Spearheaded by industry veteran Sumit Goswami, the company has made significant headway in a short span, turning what started as a solo venture into a ₹100 million business.

Sumit Goswami, reflecting on the company’s beginnings, shared with humility, “Naa Electric meter apply karna aata thaa..naa tender bharna aata thaa..” A true testament to entrepreneurial grit, his journey began in September 2021, without any formal experience in running a business. Starting with small trading activities and gradually moving into tenders, Sumit’s deep industry relationships became his foundation.

Today, Gujarat Media Company boasts:

A ₹100 million turnover

20+ exclusive train branding projects including Vande Bharat

200+ digital screens in Northern India

Presence at key railway stations such Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, CST Mumbai, Old Delhi, Saria Rohilla, and newly acquired Anand Vihar Terminal

Sumit, who previously served as the Northern Region Head for Brandscope India (Dentsu’s OOH division), brings over 18 years of experience across top out-of-home (OOH) advertising firms. Known for his relationship-first approach and solution-oriented mindset, he has handled diverse portfolios across brands and categories.

Commenting on the company’s core values, Sumit said, “Our business is being nurtured on my belief of having a POSITIVE INTENT & APPROACH. I believe in building a business that people come to trust over time, focusing on and creating a CLEAN image with strong lasting relationships.”

He concluded with his long-term vision: “200 logo ki company banani hai, or ek dam SAAF SUTHRA KAAM karna hai, chapter!!”
