Mumbai : Hathway Cable has introduced a new pricing system and a revamped channel packaging system after signing reference interconnection offer with Star India.
The operator has introduced a basic package for a monthly rental of Rs 230 that will bundle seven Star Channels namely Star Plus, Star Gold, Movies OK, Channel V, Star Pravah and Star Jalsha.
The operator has introduced a ‘Popular Pack’ at Rs 289. Its third pack and premium pack is priced at Rs 349 respectively. Third pack includes Star World, Star Movies, Star Movies Action and FX.
The Premium pack offers channels like Fox Crime, Nat Geo Music, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo People, Fox Crime, Fox Life and lifestyle channels.
The operator Hathway will provide regional channels like Asianet, Asianet Suvarna and Star Vijay only on a-la-carte basis.
Hathway’s formula is being followed by many independent MSOs also, who are restructuring their existing packages to offer a new package to their subscribers in a convincing format without imposing enormous increase in monthly subscription fee.
Earlier, MSOs started pulling down Star channels from their bouquet one after the other without imposing a sudden block out.
