Mumbai: ZEE5 has announced the launch of its latest Hindi true crime docu-series, Honeymoon Se Hatya, set to premiere on 9 January 2026. The gripping series delves into real-life cases where marriages that began with promise descended into violence, exploring the disturbing reality of wives who killed their husbands.
Positioned as a bold and unsettling exploration of crime and human psychology, Honeymoon Se Hatya goes beyond headlines to ask a haunting question — Why Women Kill. Without sensationalism or judgement, the docu-series presents facts as they unfolded, examining the emotional, social, and psychological pressures that culminated in crimes that shocked the nation, while encouraging viewers to reflect on the complex realities hidden behind closed doors.
The series revisits some of India’s most widely discussed and disturbing cases, including the Meghalaya Sonam Raja Raghuvanshi Case, Meerut Blue Drum Case, Bhiwani Influencer Case, Mumbai Tile Case (Nalasopara Tile Case), and the Delhi Electric Shock Case. Through detailed factual narration, recreations, interviews, and archival material, the series offers a comprehensive account of each incident while highlighting recurring patterns of emotional trauma, control, suppression, and desperation that often remain invisible until tragedy strikes.

Speaking about the series, Kaveri Das, Chief Channel Officer & TV and Business Head Hindi Z5, said, “With Honeymoon Se Hatya, we are expanding our documentary slate into deeper, more emotionally charged stories. In today’s rapidly evolving social landscape, understanding the pressures within marriages, has never been more important. These stories highlight the fractures that often go unnoticed until it’s too late. Viewers can expect a gripping show marked by emotional depth, realism, and insights that linger long after the story ends. Honeymoon Se Hatya is meant to provoke conversations about relationships, power, and the silent battles fought within homes.”
By combining investigative storytelling with emotional realism, Honeymoon Se Hatya aims to spark meaningful conversations around relationships, power dynamics, and the unseen struggles within domestic spaces.
The true crime docu-series will stream exclusively on ZEE5 from 9 January 2026.
