New Delhi: In a landmark media moment, Hindustan Times and OTTplay today transformed the iconic Hindustan Times front page into ‘Rajinikanth Times’, a full front-page takeover celebrating superstar Rajinikanth’s 50-year journey on screen in partnership with Amazon Prime.

For the first time in Hindustan Times’ 100-year history, the entire front page has been dedicated to a single individual — a tribute reserved for a legend whose influence extends far beyond cinema into culture, memory, and modern mythology.

The innovation-led homage reimagines the newspaper’s masthead and visual identity to honour Rajinikanth’s five-decade legacy, marking one of the boldest editorial-driven brand innovations of the year. The celebration has been amplified across the HT Media network, with Fever FM extending the tribute on radio, uniting fans, listeners, and cinephiles in a 360-degree cultural moment that spans print, digital, and audio.

At the core of this initiative is OTTplay, India’s leading OTT aggregation platform. With 30+ OTT platforms under a single subscription and an AI-powered discovery engine, OTTplay offers fans the easiest way to stream Rajinikanth’s films across eras — from classics like Baasha, Muthu, and Thalapathi to recent blockbusters such as Kabali, Kaala, Petta, Jailer, Vettaiyan, and Coolie. All are available across platforms including Sun NXT, Amazon Prime Video, and JioHotstar, accessible seamlessly through one gateway.
