Mumbai: Collective Artists Network’s Historyverse, a content destination reimagining Indian history through technology, has announced a wide-ranging partnership with Snapchat to bring its flagship AI-enabled adaptation of The Mahabharat to the platform. The collaboration aims to introduce the timeless Indian epic to Gen Z audiences in a digital-first, immersive format that blends culture, storytelling, and cutting-edge technology.
The partnership leverages Snapchat’s strong connect with Gen Z in India, offering Historyverse a powerful platform to expand its reach through exclusive mini-episodic cuts and an engaging suite of AR Lenses. These interactive experiences allow Snapchatters to immerse themselves in the Mahabharat universe — merging ancient mythology with modern digital play.

Vijay Subramaniam, Founder & Group CEO, Collective Artists Network, said, “Our collaboration with Snapchat is a perfect reflection of what we stand for at Collective — bridging culture, creativity, and technology. With Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh, we’ve reimagined a story that has defined generations using AI. Partnering with Snapchat allows us to take this deeply rooted heritage and introduce it to Gen Z in their own language and on their preferred platform, offering Historyverse a vital new audience.”

Saket Jha Saurabh, Head of Content Partnerships & AR, Snap Inc., added, “We’re chuffed to partner with Collective Artists Network’s Historyverse to bring the world of Mahabharat to our community. Snapchat is where Gen Z comes to express themselves and connect with friends, and this partnership provides a unique, culturally relevant way for them to engage with one of India’s greatest epics. From short-form episodic content to immersive AR Lenses, we are excited to offer millions of Snapchatters a new way to experience this iconic story.”
The AI-powered adaptation, Mahabharat: Ek Dharmayudh, created under Historyverse, premiered on JioHotstar on October 25 and is currently airing on Star Plus. Produced using Galleri 5’s proprietary G5 AI Pipeline, the series represents a first-of-its-kind reimagining of the classic through advanced AI-driven storytelling and visual design.
Historyverse has already made significant strides on Snapchat, where its vertical Sanatani Itihaas has crossed 100,000 followers, reached over 6 million unique viewers in the past month, and generated 14 million+ Spotlight views, underscoring the platform’s ability to connect heritage-driven content with young digital audiences.
This partnership between Historyverse and Snapchat exemplifies how technology and creativity can converge to make India’s rich cultural heritage more accessible, engaging, and relevant for the next generation of storytellers and consumers.
