IIFA Awards returns to Yas Island from 27-29 September; Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar to host awards show
MUMBAI: Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance & Coexistence, a celebration of Indian cinema—the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards—rreturns for a third showcase to Yas Island Abu Dhabi, a leisure and entertainment destination from 27-29 September 2024 at the Etihad Arena. The IIFA Festival is held in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and Miral, a creator of immersive destinations and experiences in Abu Dhabi.
The IIFA Festival 2024 features events:
- 27 September: NEXA IIFA Utsavam Awards
- 28 September: NEXA IIFA Awards co-presented by Sobha
- 29 September: Sobha IIFA Rocks co-presented by NEXA
The IIFA 2024 kicked off with its official India press conference, featuring Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar. They will be hosting the NEXA IIFA Awards co-presented by Sobha Realty on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, at the Etihad Arena.
Joining the line-up are the duo Siddhant Chaturvedi and Abhishek Banerjee as hosts of IIFA Rocks 2024. Also in attendance at the press conference was Telugu and Hindi cinema star Rana Daggubati.
Heralding a journey over 24 years, IIFA 2024 is set to bring together Indian cinema across five industries. The three-day extravaganza is all set to showcase the diversity of Indian cinema by bringing together the IIFA Awards with South Indian cinema through the IIFA Utsavam Awards (Celebrating Cinema of the South). The festivities will kick start on 27 September, with IIFA Utsavam Awards, a celebration of the four South Indian film industries. on Saturday, 28 September, with the IIFA Awards. The festival concludes on 29 September, with the IIFA Rocks.
