The Global Creative Contributors bring together diverse expertise spanning salon artistry, education, celebrity styling, editorial, backstage, and social media. Collectively, they offer a 360-degree vision of the profession and reflect the complexity and diversity of challenges within today’s global hair industry.
The contributors were chosen not only for being trendsetters and among the most innovative and avant-garde names in the industry, but also for the excellence of their techniques, creativity, and deep-rooted passion for their craft. By uniting complementary creative profiles from across the world, L’Oréal Professionnel aims to co-create tomorrow’s trends—ones that inspire professionals and resonate with international consumers.

Representing India in this global collective is Amit Thakur, an internationally recognised celebrity hairstylist and creative force in contemporary beauty. Known for shaping some of the most iconic hair moments in modern Indian cinema and fashion, Amit’s work has featured in leading publications such as Vogue India, Vogue Italia, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Cosmopolitan, and Grazia. His career spans high-profile international platforms, from styling Alia Bhatt for her Cannes debut and Milan Fashion Week for Gucci, to the Met Gala. In 2025, he was awarded Zee Hair Icon of the Year and ELLE Hair Artist of the Year.
Currently serving as a Global Creative Contributor for L’Oréal Professionnel, Amit brings a distinctly Indian sensibility to global beauty conversations. He is also deeply committed to education and mentorship as the founder of Mane Masters, an advanced hair education platform through which he has trained hundreds of students globally.
