For the coming couple of years IVCA is planning to promote on-shoring of offshore pools of capital through its advocacy for GST rebates for deemed export of services.
Mumbai: Gopal Srinivasan, the outgoing Chairman of the Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (IVCA), announced its new office bearers. Mr Padmanabh Sinha (Managing Partner, Tata Opportunities fund) will be the Chairman of IVCA and Ms. Renuka Ramnath (Founder, MD and CEO – Multiples Alternate Asset Management) its Vice Chairman.
Newly appointed Chairman Mr. Padmanabh Sinha stated that “The Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association plays a pivotal role in working alongside its stakeholders, the government & the regulators to promote a world class and liberal Private Capital Eco-system. Given the long term, sticky nature of Private Equity & Venture Capital, a robust Eco-system will lead to increased investments and underlying job creation in India. I am delighted to be part of the IVCA’s efforts in this direction.”
Ms. Renuka Ramnath, Vice Chairman, IVCA stated that “Honoured to be elected to the Committee at IVCA. As our industry expands, IVCA as the premier industry forum can be the torch bearer for its development and we hope to be the collective voice of our members.”
The Executive Committee Meeting was followed by IVCA’s Annual Member meeting that hosted India’s prominent PE VC industry stalwarts. Over 100 delegates gathered on the eve of 4th April in continued support to IVCA’s endeavour in bringing about positive PE VC industry reforms. Bain & Co’s Arpan Sheth (Partner) presented “India Private Equity Report 2018” at the industry gathering.

The IVCA team with support of esteemed executive committee under the leadership of Gopal Srinivasan & Padmanabh Sinha executed 19 events and knowledge series plus the Annual Conclave in 2018. For the coming year we’re looking at around 20+ events, webinars, knowledge sessions with focus on Advocacy, Building domestic LP base, Networking & Education and IVCA Industry Center. ”
