Mumbai: Inega and The Artists Project (TAP) have announced a strategic merger to form a unified creative artist management alliance spanning fashion, entertainment, advertising and digital culture. The partnership brings together two organisations that have played a formative role in shaping structured artist representation in India, with a shared vision of building a long-term, institutionally robust management ecosystem.
Founded in the 1990s, Inega began as a performance artists’ management company, facilitating talent at major platforms such as the Filmfare Awards and Femina Miss India, while producing over 100 fashion shows globally. As the industry evolved, the company transitioned into structured talent management, positioning itself as one of India’s earliest agencies focused on sustained career building and industry stewardship.
Launched in 2015 by Debjoy Ray, TAP introduced formal representation frameworks for photographers before expanding to stylists and hair and makeup artists, emerging as one of India’s first dedicated creative artists’ agencies.
According to the companies, the merger is rooted in philosophical alignment rather than consolidation. Both organisations share the belief that enduring leadership in artist management is built on experience, trust and long-term continuity. By integrating institutional knowledge, industry networks and commercial frameworks, the alliance aims to deliver greater operational precision while ensuring stability for artists and partners.

Ankit Mehta, Group Head, Inega, said, “This alliance represents continuity more than change. We share a belief that meaningful representation is built over years. Together, we are creating an institution that supports artists across disciplines while preserving independence and integrity.”

Aashna Bainik, Director- The Artists Project, added, “TAP was created to bring structure and long-term thinking to creative representation at a time when it didn’t exist. This alliance strengthens that foundation and allows us to build at scale with clarity and intent.”
The combined roster spans directors, photographers, videographers, stylists, hair and makeup artists, actors, models and creators across cinema, fashion, branded content and digital platforms, alongside independent verticals. Represented talent includes Rohan Shrestha, Yianni, Elton Fernandez, Vaishnav and Apeksha of The House of Pixels, Deepa Verma, and Edward Lalrempuia.
The alliance will operate through a federated structure in which each vertical retains independent leadership and strategic direction, preserving creative autonomy while leveraging shared credibility, scale and institutional depth.
