Mumbai: Inka, a digital-first, consumer-centric insurance distribution platform, has announced the launch of Vaani, the country’s first voice AI assistant for insurance. Built on Google’s Gemini AI, Vaani is designed to transform the way Indians understand, evaluate, and choose insurance by offering hyper-personalized, conversational guidance in real time.
Unlike traditional advisory models where agents ask a limited set of questions before suggesting plans, Vaani uses an intelligent, intuitive approach—identifying the right questions users need to answer, including those they might not think of themselves. Trained on over 2,400 data points, it evaluates an individual’s life stage, lifestyle, health profile, aspirations, and financial footprint to generate customized insurance recommendations.
The AI assistant covers a broad range of insurance categories including health insurance, life and term plans, cancer and cardiac covers, long-term savings products, and child planning solutions. Designed as a voice-first, inclusive interface, Vaani makes insurance conversations seamless and accessible by supporting natural language interactions in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Telugu (with more languages to follow).
Beyond personalized recommendations, Vaani helps consumers navigate complex policy structures, compare options, and even book expert consultations through a single voice command.
Currently available on the Inkasure platform via desktop and mobile, Vaani enables users to generate their personalized insurance reports. Insights gathered during this phase will help Inka refine and expand the offering ahead of a wider rollout.
