Mumbai: Instagram has announced the launch of a microdrama series in India, aimed at encouraging Gen Z to take creative risks and connect through storytelling. The series is part of Instagram’s global ‘Anyway’ brand campaign, which celebrates uninhibited creative expression.
Launched in June, the ‘Anyway’ campaign highlighted Instagram as a space for free-flowing creativity without doubt or inhibition. Extending this message, the India-specific microdrama series—titled ‘Party of Two’—follows the lives of two Gen Z flatmates with contrasting personalities and distinct approaches to creativity. The storyline mirrors how Instagram is woven into everyday culture while motivating young audiences to explore their interests and draw inspiration from daily life.
“As Instagram turns 15 this year, we’re investing more in enabling creative expression than ever before. This includes launching new apps like Edits for video creatives, or features like Trials and Reposts. We hope the byte-sized nature of microdramas, hosted on reels, and combined with a storyline that appeals to Gen Z, encourages them to tap into their own everyday experiences and share them creatively on Instagram,” said Arun Srinivas, Country Director, Meta, India.
The 7-episode series stars popular actors and creators Nidhi Bhanushali (@_ninosaur) and Sunakshi Grover (@sunakshigrover), developed in partnership with creative agency Communique and directed by Samudra Sengupta & Gopikrishnan Nair.
New episodes of Party of Two will premiere every alternate day starting September 4, 2025, available exclusively on @metaindia and @instagram.
