Investing for a New Era: Mukesh Ambani and BlackRock CEO Larry Fink in Exclusive CNBC TV18 Conversation
Share Share ShareShare

Mumbai: At a time when the global economy is navigating heightened geopolitical uncertainty, technological disruption, and shifting capital flows, two of the world’s most influential business leaders, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries Limited, and Larry Fink, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock, are coming together for an exclusive conversation on CNBC TV18 today.

The two leaders will be in conversation with Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor of CNBC TV18, with the discussion set to air from 3:00 PM onwards on 4th February. A must-watch interaction on how the future of investing is being shaped in India amid an evolving global order.

Two Global Leaders, One Defining Moment

With Reliance Industries at the forefront of India’s energy transition, digital infrastructure, and consumer-led growth, and BlackRock managing more than $14 trillion in assets globally, the dialogue is expected to offer rare, forward-looking insights into how long-term capital is being deployed in a rapidly changing world.

Larry Fink’s appearance on CNBC TV18 coincides with his third visit to India, underlining the country’s growing strategic importance for BlackRock, a Wall Street-listed firm with a market capitalisation of over $177 billion. Fink had previously visited India twice in 2023, including a brief visit in October that year when he met both Mukesh Ambani and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

India remains a key pillar of BlackRock’s long-term growth strategy, anchored by its joint venture with Jio Financial Services. The partners announced a 50:50 venture, JioBlackRock, in July 2023, committing up to $150 million each to build a digital-first asset management platform for India’s rapidly growing investor base.

The discussion also comes against the backdrop of BlackRock’s strong global performance. The firm closed 2025 with record assets under management of $14.04 trillion, driven by $698 billion in net inflows during the year, including $342 billion in the fourth quarter.

Fink has repeatedly highlighted India as a standout destination for global capital. Speaking at the Saudi–US Investment Summit in Riyadh last year, he noted that the “fog of global uncertainty is lifting,” with capital flows returning to dynamic markets such as India, supported by structural reforms, a growing consumer base, and strong long-term return potential.

A Must-Watch Global Dialogue

As geopolitical environment reshape trade, capital allocation, and economic alliances, the CNBC TV18 interaction between Mukesh Ambani and Larry Fink is expected to go beyond balance sheets, addressing access to capital, the role of technology, and how investing can power sustainable economic growth.

For business leaders, investors, and policymakers, the interaction promises perspective, clarity, and strategic insight at a defining moment for both India and the global economy.
