New York: Mastercard has announced the appointment of Jill Kramer as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO), effective December 1, 2025. She succeeds Raja Rajamannar, who will transition into the role of Senior Fellow for the company.
Kramer joins Mastercard from Accenture, where she served as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, leading a global, technology-driven marketing organization focused on brand relevance, business growth, and market differentiation. Under her leadership, Accenture’s brand value nearly doubled from $12 billion to $20.9 billion, according to Interbrand’s Best Global Brands rankings.
Welcoming Kramer to the role, Michael Miebach, CEO of Mastercard, said, “We are excited to welcome Jill Kramer to Mastercard as our new Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. Jill’s global perspective and deep expertise in B2B marketing will be invaluable as we continue to accelerate our growth and innovation. Her leadership and vision are exactly what we need for this next chapter.”
Miebach also paid tribute to outgoing CMCO Raja Rajamannar, who has been widely credited with redefining Mastercard’s marketing approach through creativity, innovation, and purpose-driven campaigns.
“Raja’s impact on Mastercard and the marketing industry has been nothing short of transformative. His creativity, passion and relentless pursuit of excellence have inspired all of us and helped make Mastercard one of the world’s most admired brands,” Miebach added.
Before joining Accenture in 2015, Kramer held senior leadership roles at BBDO and DDB, where she developed award-winning, integrated campaigns for leading global brands such as AT&T and ExxonMobil.
A recognized industry leader, Kramer serves on the board of directors of the Ad Council and has been named among Forbes’ Most Influential CMOs for three consecutive years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Rajamannar’s move into a senior advisory role marks the culmination of a decade-long tenure that saw Mastercard evolve into a powerhouse of experiential, sonic, and purpose-led marketing.
With Kramer’s appointment, Mastercard signals its continued commitment to creative excellence and global brand leadership as it enters its next phase of growth.
