Mumbai: JioSaavn, an audio streaming service with over 100 million MAUs, has launched Replay 2025, its annual data-driven recap highlighting users’ listening patterns and India’s audio landscape trends for the year. The data covers streaming activity from January to mid-November 2025, providing personalised summaries to individual users on their JioSaavn homepage.
Analysis of Replay 2025 revealed Hindi, Telugu, Punjabi, Tamil, and English as the top five languages streamed, showcasing India’s affinity for diverse, locally-rooted audio content. Peak listening times were consistently observed during 8–10 a.m. and 5–7 p.m., aligning with morning and post-work commutes.
The top artists of 2025 included Arijit Singh, Alka Yagnik, Pritam Chakraborty, Udit Narayan, and Shreya Ghoshal, reflecting the continued dominance of India’s iconic playback voices. Regional engagement also remained strong with leading artists such as Devi Sri Prasad (Telugu), Anirudh Ravichander (Tamil), Karan Aujla (Punjabi), The Weeknd (English), and S.P. Balasubrahmanyam (Kannada). These patterns highlight a balanced ecosystem where legacy artists, regional stars, and global performers shape India’s audio experience.
Among the most streamed songs, JioSaavn listed ‘Saiyaara’, ‘Sahiba’, ‘Bujji Thalli’, ‘Barbaad’, and ‘Apna Bana Le’, while regional hits included ‘Vazhithunaiye’ (Tamil), ‘Ranu Bombai ki Ranu’ (Telugu), ‘Wavy’ (Punjabi), ‘Die With a Smile’ (English), and ‘Paravashanadenu’ (Kannada).
Podcasts also saw strong traction, reinforcing JioSaavn’s position as a multi-format audio destination. Top podcasts included ‘Shri Krishna Amritvani’, ‘Krishna – The Supreme Soul’, ‘Yakshini’, ‘Dhadkane Meri Sun’, and ‘Shiv Puran’, covering devotional content, immersive audio fiction, and reflective storytelling.
JioTunes mirrored similar cultural and personal preferences. The overall top JioTunes were ‘Tum Hi Ho’, ‘Ram Siya Ram’, ‘Switch Off’, ‘Hamari Adhuri Kahani’, and ‘Saiyaara’, while regional favorites included ‘Godari Gaattu Meedha’, ‘Naane Neethane’, ‘Mohabbat Ab Bachata’, and ‘Mayabini’, highlighting increased personalisation through language and mood-based selections.
