Hyderabad: Ageas Federal Life Insurance Company has appointed Jude Gomes as the new Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, following the approval of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
Gomes brings over 30 years of extensive experience in both local and international insurance and banking sectors. He has held senior leadership roles, including CEO at Manulife China Bank in the Philippines and CEO at Union Assurance PLC in Sri Lanka. Additionally, he served as the Chief Partnership Distribution Officer for Manulife in Vietnam and worked at HSBC’s Head Office in Hong Kong. Notably, Mr. Gomes was part of the core team that established India’s first private life insurer, HDFC Standard Life Insurance, and was a founding member of HSBC Canara Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance in India. Most recently, he held the position of Regional Director, Business Development at Ageas while based in Hong Kong.
