Mumbai: Elara Capital, an institutional brokerage and investment banking firm, has promoted Karan Taurani to the role of Executive Vice President.
With over 17 years of experience in Indian institutional equity research, Taurani has built a reputation for sharp sectoral insights and thought leadership across industries including consumer discretionary, internet, media, retail, IT services, and telecom. He joined Elara Capital in 2018, and since then has played a pivotal role in enhancing the firm’s equity research credibility and industry presence.
Taurani has consistently ranked among the top analysts in Asia. Notably, he has been named the #1 Analyst for the Indian Media and Entertainment Sector in the AsiaMoney Brokers Poll for three consecutive years — 2021, 2022, and 2023 — across all geographies. He was also ranked #10 in the consumer discretionary sector (alcoholic beverages and QSR) in 2021.
