Hyderabad: Arha Media’s regional OTT platform aha has elevated senior media professional Kavitha Jaubin to the role of Senior Vice President – Content & Strategy for both its Tamil and Telugu verticals. In her expanded remit, Kavitha will now head content and strategic planning for aha Telugu in addition to her existing responsibility at aha Tamil. The elevation, effective from March 2025, was formally shared by Kavitha in a recent LinkedIn post where she expressed gratitude for the trust reposed in her and excitement about shaping compelling content across two of India’s most dynamic language markets.
Kavitha joined Arha Media in September 2022 and has since played a pivotal role in crafting content strategies that align with the platform’s growth ambitions in the southern OTT space. Her elevation signals the company’s continued focus on building a strong leadership backbone as it competes in the ever-evolving regional streaming market.
With nearly two decades of experience in the media and entertainment industry, Kavitha brings a wealth of knowledge across content creation, channel strategy, and brand integrations. Prior to joining Arha Media, she was with Sun TV Network for close to 15 years, where she held several leadership positions. Her roles included Head of Kids Channels across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam; Cluster Head – Content Acquisition and Kids Channels; Head of Sun Life (Sun TV’s second general entertainment channel); and later, Head – Content & Brand Integrations across four languages.
She began her career as a copywriter at Ogilvy Chennai and went on to work with K.Balachander’s Minbimbangal, BigFM and Star Vijay during her early years in the industry. Kavitha’s elevation at aha comes at a critical time when the demand for regional content is witnessing strong growth, and her dual-market oversight is expected to further sharpen aha’s content offerings and audience engagement strategies in both Tamil and Telugu markets.
