Mumbai: L&T Finance Ltd. (LTF), formerly L&T Finance Holdings Limited, a non-banking financial companies, has announced the launch of ‘Sachet with Sachet’, a new cyber safety initiative aimed at helping users make safer and smarter digital financial decisions as the country enters 2026.
Built around Sachet Kumar, LTF’s animated financial awareness mascot, the initiative blends interactive technology with gamified learning to encourage responsible digital behaviour. As part of the programme, LTF has launched a dedicated platform, Ltfsachet.in, designed to help users learn, prepare, and stay protected from online financial fraud.
A key feature of the platform is the Link Verification Tool, which allows users to paste suspicious URLs and instantly assess their safety. Powered by Google Safe Browsing and the ChatGPT API, the tool categorises links into a simple colour-coded risk system — green for no risk, orange for moderate threats, and red for high-risk scams.
The microsite also offers gamified scam-awareness quizzes covering real-life fraud scenarios such as UPI safety, deepfakes, phishing and advance fee scams. Users who successfully complete these challenges earn the ‘Sachet Shield’ digital badge, recognising them as ‘Scam-Smart’.
In addition, the platform features a scam-safety education library, housing practical learning modules and previously released financial awareness videos to help users identify and respond to everyday digital threats.
Commenting on the launch, Kavita Jagtiani, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at L&T Finance Ltd., said, “Today, nearly everyone with a smartphone has, in some way, been targeted by scams. Fraudsters have become incredibly sophisticated, using technology to make it nearly impossible to distinguish between what is real and what is fake. Those who are less digitally savvy are often the most vulnerable, risking the loss of their hard-earned life savings in an instant. ‘Sachet with Sachet’ is our sincere attempt to educate and empower every citizen. By providing active tools and simple guidance, we want to ensure that being ‘Scam-Smart’ becomes the new norm for everyone.”
To amplify reach and engagement, the initiative is supported by a strong influencer-led and social media strategy. This includes podcast-style collaborations where influencers interact with the animated mascot Sachet Kumar to share actionable scam-safe resolutions for the New Year, alongside vox pop activations featuring on-ground conversations with the public. Participants who demonstrate scam awareness are rewarded with physical Sachet Shield trophies.
Through ‘Sachet with Sachet’, L&T Finance reinforces its commitment to financial awareness and digital safety, equipping citizens with practical tools to navigate India’s rapidly evolving digital finance ecosystem.
