New Delhi, November 10, 2025 — Panasonic Life Solutions India today announced that Manish Sharma, Chairman & ESGO (Executive Sponsor for Group Operations) of the company, will be stepping down from his role after an impactful 17-year journey with the organization. Sharma, who has been at the forefront of Panasonic’s transformation and growth in India, will continue to support the company through a transition phase as Tadashi Chiba, Managing Director and CEO, continues to lead the India business.
This announcement marks the culmination of a remarkable leadership tenure that saw Panasonic evolve from a consumer electronics player into a diversified technology and solutions company with a strong local presence, robust manufacturing capabilities, and a deep commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Reflecting on his journey, Sharma said, “It is with immense pride and gratitude that I reflect on Panasonic’s journey of building a strong local presence to evolving into a diversified and trusted partner that touches millions of lives. I feel privileged to have helmed this organization and worked alongside an incredibly talented and committed leadership team. Over the years, we have built not only a strong and diverse business but also a purpose-driven culture anchored in trust, innovation, and customer-centricity.”
He added that with Panasonic’s renewed global strategy, the company’s leadership under Tadashi Chiba is well-positioned to accelerate growth in India: “Panasonic is not only a company, but a legacy, and I firmly believe it is well-positioned for the future. This is the right moment for me to step aside from my executive responsibilities and accelerate the planned transition. I plan to focus my energy on my personal pursuits, which will continue to be aligned and accelerated for the growth of the industry and our country.”

Under Sharma’s leadership, Panasonic Life Solutions India made significant strides across B2C, B2B, and B2G segments. He was instrumental in driving strategic initiatives such as the India Innovation Center, scaling local manufacturing with the company’s largest facility in Jhajjar (Haryana), and advancing digital transformation and sustainability programs. His tenure also saw new investments in areas like Panasonic Avionics and technology-led categories, strengthening Panasonic’s position as a trusted technology brand in the region.
Beyond Panasonic, Sharma has been a key figure in India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem. He has served as a member of the Steering Committee for Advancing Local Value-Add and Exports (SCALE) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Chair of FICCI’s Electronics Manufacturing and Energy Storage Committees, Co-Chair of the India–Taiwan Business Cooperation Committee, and President of CEAMA (Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association) from 2014 to 2018.
