Mumbai: Marico Limited has appointed Vikram Karwal as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), strengthening its leadership team as the FMCG major sharpens its focus on brand-led growth and innovation.
Karwal joins Marico after a 22-year stint at Mondelez International that includes more than 13 years at Mondelez International and over 6 years at Cadbury. Most recently, Karwal served as Senior Director – Marketing (Chocolates/Tablets business). During his tenure, he played a key role in driving brand strategy, innovation and growth across some of the company’s leading chocolate brands.
With extensive global experience, Karwal has worked across India, Europe, RSA and ASEAN markets, building and scaling consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. His expertise spans marketing management, business strategy, innovation, sales and advertising.
At Marico, Karwal will lead marketing initiatives across the company’s portfolio, which includes flagship brands such as Parachute, Saffola, Livon and Nihar, as the company continues to invest in premiumisation, digital-first engagement and category expansion.
The appointment underscores Marico’s focus on strengthening its marketing leadership to navigate evolving consumer preferences and accelerate long-term growth.
