Cochin : Mazhavil Manorama has announced its line up of Christmas special programmes and special movie premiers set for telecast on 25th December 2018.
The channel has scheduled the premiere of mega Star Mammootty starrer Masterpiece at 7pm on 25th December. The channel has digital premiered the movie on its online platform Mazhavil Multiplex.
Malayalam dubbed version of the action thriller “Thupparivaalan” will be aired as one of the special films for Christmas at 9 am along with a couple of other new movies like comedy drama thriller ‘Shikkari Shambhu’ at 12.30pm and family drama Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘Jomonte Suvisheshangal‘ at 3.30pm.
Bagging the satellite rights of the super hit Mammootty starrer action thriller Masterpiece, released on 21st Dec 2017, is one of the most successful ventures of the year for Mazhavil Manorama. Directed by Ajai Vasudev and written by Uday Krishna the movie stars an array of popular Malayalam Unni Mukundan, Mukesh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Poonam Bajwa, Maqbool Salmaan, Gokul Suresh, Kalabhavan Shajohn among many others. The TV premiere of Masterpiece will be at 7.00pm on this Christmas Day.
The channel’s yet another Christmas special movie, Vishal starrer ‘Thupparivaalan’ was released on 14th September 2017, also features Prasanna, Anu Emmanuel, Andrea Jeremiah and Vinay in vital roles. Slated for telecast at 9am , the movie is an inspiration from British writer Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective character, Sherlock Holmes. The plot of the story revolves around a string suspicious murders and crimes that takes place and the titular character detective Kaniyan Pongundran’s (played by Vishal ) efforts to unfold the mystery behind the crimes.
The other special programs of Mazhavil Manorama on Christmas day includes ‘Dhe Ruchi’ at 6am, ‘Maha Sakthiman Hanuman’ ay 6.30am, ‘Chat With Thattinpurathu Achyuthan Team’ at 8am, ‘Europpil Parannu Parannu’ at 8.30am and ‘Thakarppan Comedy’ at 11 pm.
