Mumbai: Meesho concluded its annual Mega Blockbuster Sale 2025 with record-breaking participation from customers, sellers, and creators, reaffirming its role as one of India’s most inclusive festive marketplaces. The event underlined how technology, affordability, and trust are reshaping festive commerce at Bharat scale.
The sale attracted ~206 crore customer visits, with shoppers spending over 117 million hours on the platform. Prepaid transactions surged ~57%, highlighting the growing preference for digital payments. Festive favorites such as kurtis, jewellery, lipsticks, puja décor, and kids’ ethnic wear topped shopping lists, while newer categories like office supplies (up ~97% YoY), sports & fitness equipment (~86%), health & wellness (~69%), and books (~66%) also saw significant demand.
Creators played a pivotal role in festive discovery. Nearly 30,000 content creators came onboard, generating ~3.5 lakh videos across platforms, with Meesho’s in-app Video Finds drawing ~1.3 billion views, turning the sale into a vibrant digital bazaar.
Sellers too marked festive milestones. Leading up to the sale, they launched ~4.6 crore new products, with ~49,000 new sellers joining Meesho. Seller participation rose ~57% YoY, with contributions spanning metros and emerging cities such as Warangal, Chhapra, and Cuddapah.
The sale also showcased how tech-led shopping behaviors are transforming festive commerce. Meesho’s systems scaled to serve ~52,000 active users per minute at peak, powered by AI-driven personalization. With over 2 crore app downloads during the event, nearly 45% of customers came from tier 4+ towns, cementing e-commerce’s penetration into India’s heartland.
By bringing together millions of sellers, buyers, logistics partners, and creators, the Mega Blockbuster Sale 2025 reflected the scale of India’s festive economy on Meesho’s platform. The company announced that its Maha Diwali Sale will run from October 4 to October 15, 2025, offering customers a wide range of festive products at prices designed to fit every budget.
