Mumbai: Namita Jadhav, Vice President – Corporate Communications at JioStar, will be stepping down from her role, with April 1 set as her last working day as she completes her notice period.
A seasoned corporate communications professional with more than 25 years of experience in India’s media and entertainment sector, Jadhav has built her career around corporate reputation management, enterprise communications strategy, and stakeholder engagement at large media organisations.
At JioStar, she most recently served as Vice President, Corporate Communications, leading enterprise, sports, and policy communications. Prior to this, she held the role of Director in the same function, contributing to the company’s communications strategy across multiple business verticals.
Jadhav moved into the JioStar structure following the merger between The Walt Disney Company’s Indian television business, Star India, and Viacom18, which created the joint media venture JioStar.
Before the merger-led transition, she spent nearly 19 years with The Walt Disney Company in India, holding several communications leadership roles. During this period, she worked closely with CEOs and senior leadership teams on strategic communications during phases of organisational change, heightened public attention, and regulatory scrutiny.
Across her career spanning JioStar, Star, and Disney, Jadhav has advised leadership teams on reputation risk, crisis governance, executive positioning, and enterprise narrative during key moments including mergers, major sports ecosystem developments, and complex regulatory and policy discussions within the media industry.
Her experience also includes managing communications linked to large-scale sports properties and high-stakes corporate developments in the sector.
Earlier in her career, Jadhav worked with Weber Shandwick India, where she served as Group Head, building expertise in strategic communications and corporate advisory.
Known for aligning corporate reputation with long-term business value, Jadhav has worked to strengthen stakeholder trust, leadership credibility, and enterprise influence for some of the country’s most visible media and entertainment companies.
She is yet to announce her next professional move.
