New Delhi: The News Broadcasters Federation has appealed to the National Human Rights Commission requesting for intervention following reports of torture against Mr. Ghanshyam Singh, Senior Executive of Republic Media Network, during custodial interrogations in investigations in the alleged TRP rigging case.
“We express our serious concern regarding the recent disturbing reports of traumatising and gruesome physical and psychological torture during the custody of a Senior Executive of Republic Media Network. We at NBF demand an immediate and appropriate action against the high-handedness of the authorities in power who have violated basic human rights,” said R. Jai Krishna, Secretary-General, News Broadcasters Federation. “Injustice done anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” He Added.
