Mumbai: Neha Malhotra has been appointed Senior Vice President – Marketing at Zee Music Company, marking her return to the mainstream music and entertainment ecosystem after an entrepreneurial stint.
Malhotra announced the move, highlighting a renewed sense of purpose shaped by her recent experience building OneNative Content Studio. Reflecting on the past year, she described it as a phase that tested resilience and sharpened her leadership approach, emphasising decision-making in uncertain environments without the cushion of structured playbooks.
Her transition into Zee Music Company comes at a time when the Indian music industry is witnessing rapid evolution driven by digital consumption, short-form video platforms, and growing independent artist ecosystems. In her new role, Malhotra is expected to lead marketing strategy with a focus on amplifying artist-led storytelling, strengthening audience engagement, and driving brand-led collaborations.
Prior to this, Malhotra was associated with OneNative Content Studio, where she served as Partner. In her earlier stint with the company, she held the role of Head – Content Strategy & Brand Solutions, working across branded content and integrated marketing mandates.
Before her entrepreneurial journey, she spent over four years at Saregama India (2021–2025), where she handled multiple roles within the marketing function. During her tenure, she contributed to building campaigns across catalog and new music releases, leveraging digital platforms to expand reach and engagement.
Her appointment underscores Zee Music Company’s continued focus on strengthening its marketing leadership as competition intensifies across music streaming and content ecosystems. With a sharper strategic lens and a strong appetite for building, Malhotra is set to play a key role in shaping the label’s next phase of growth.
