Mumbai: Ogilvy Indonesia has announced a major leadership transition, appointing Kapil Arora as its new Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2026. Arora steps into the role following the departure of Sieg Penaverde, who concludes a six-year tenure to pursue a new professional opportunity.
Arora brings 24 years of Ogilvy experience to the position, having held senior roles across five offices within the network. His career spans leading the Vodafone account in India, heading Ogilvy Delhi, and steering several high-impact client relationships. Since 2024, he has served as COO of Ogilvy Indonesia, working alongside Penaverde to strengthen the agency’s integrated service model and deepen its portfolio of Indonesia-first partnerships.
During his time as COO, Arora managed a wide set of marquee clients including Nestlé, Azko, SMBC, Kimberly-Clark, and Mastercard, and played a key role in expanding the agency’s collaborative and cross-capability operations.
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Arora said, “I’m genuinely excited and honoured to lead our operation in this market. Our clients and our people are extraordinary, and I’ve seen first-hand the scale of potential in our talent and our connected capabilities.”
Kunal Jeswani, CEO of Ogilvy ASEAN, commended Penaverde’s leadership and welcomed Arora’s elevation. “His energy, vision, and commitment to our clients and people will power the next phase of Ogilvy’s growth in Indonesia,” Jeswani noted.
The transition marks a new chapter for Ogilvy Indonesia as it looks to build on the momentum established over the past six years and continue strengthening its integrated communications offering.
