OMD Asia-Pacific has elevated Gavin Gibson to a newly created role of Chief Strategy Officer. He was the national Chief Strategy Officer for OMD Australia.
Moving from Australia to Singapore, Gibson will report to OMD Asia-Pacific CEO Stephen Li. He will have lead the 16 offices OMD Network in the Asia-Pacific region.
Gibsonis credited with having helped OMD top Australia’s COMvergence rankings for billing and market share, besides contributing to the global team’s ‘better decisions, faster’ positioning.
His previous experience in Asia include roles at OMD in Hong Kong and Singapore, and working for mobile handset company HTC as vice president of global marketing.
Speaking about Gibson’s appointment, Li said,“Given his rich experience and knowledge of our business, as well as his unique passion for shaping a bespoke OMD approach for our clients, he will be a valuable asset to all of our markets going forward.
