Bengaluru: Ostara Advisors, an investment banking firm focused on climate technology and sustainable solutions, has announced the appointment of Arjun Sondhi as Senior Vice President. In this pivotal role, Arjun will lead strategic efforts across deal origination and execution, bolster the firm’s valuation and research capabilities, and help climate-tech clients secure the capital required for scaling impact-driven ventures.
Leveraging his deep expertise in business operations, valuation modelling, and risk assessment, Arjun aims to strengthen Ostara’s ability to evaluate emerging climate technologies and design robust funding strategies. With an investor’s lens, he will help founders articulate compelling growth stories and bridge the gap between visionary ideas and institutional capital.
Arjun brings over 15 years of cross-functional experience across capital markets, corporate finance, and investment research. His career spans domains including valuation, quantitative research, portfolio management, corporate turnaround, treasury, and investor relations—making him uniquely positioned to navigate the increasingly complex and high-stakes world of climate tech investing.
Vasudha Madhavan, Founder & CEO, Ostara Advisors, said, “Arjun’s extensive experience across capital markets and corporate transformation is a timely addition as climate tech investing moves from early-stage bets to large-scale, strategic growth. His perspective will deepen our ability to shape effective capital strategies and guide founders through complex scaling journeys. At Ostara, we’re dedicated to helping pioneering climate solutions secure the right funding—and Arjun’s leadership will help us do this with even greater focus and impact.”
Commenting on his appointment, Arjun Sondhi added, “I’m thrilled to join Ostara Advisors at a moment when climate tech is gaining momentum. I will be working closely with Climate-tech founders to help them unlock strategic capital, build financial resilience, and translate transformative ideas into sustainable, large-scale impact.”
Arjun began his career at Lehman Brothers in quantitative equity research, expanding sell-side coverage to the Russell 3000 Index. He built forecasting and valuation models across sectors like automotive, retail, and healthcare, and collaborated closely with research and trading teams to deliver actionable sector insights. He was also part of Bloomberg’s founding team that developed real-time valuation and credit models to support investment decisions.
Later, at Mando Corporation, he led cost-efficiency programs and process improvements before heading treasury operations and financial strategy during a pivotal phase of business recovery at Mando America.
