New Delhi: Pee Safe has launched its latest campaign, #Zero Period, in honor of Menstrual Hygiene Day. The campaign aims to break the stigma around menstruation, especially for first-time menstruators, and is centered on a touching digital video commercial (DVC) that follows the emotional journey of an 8-year-old footballer experiencing her first period.
The campaign highlights Pee Safe’s Disposable Period Panty—a product designed to support young girls through their initial menstrual experiences with confidence and comfort. Crafted from ultra-absorbent, breathable material, the panty mimics the feel of regular underwear while offering leak-proof protection.
“Zero Period is about making space for honest conversations around menstruation—especially the first one. For many young girls, that experience can be confusing and isolating. Our intent with this campaign is to challenge the idea that periods are a disruption or something to be hidden. We want girls to feel equipped, reassured, and uninterrupted in whatever they choose to do,” said Vikas Bagaria, Founder of Pee Safe.
“We notice young girls stepping away from activities they love because of the fear or stigma attached to menstruation. With Zero Period, we want to change that by fostering understanding and support, particularly in environments like schools and sports. Our goal is simple: to help make periods easier, not just physically, but emotionally and socially too,” added Rithish Kumar, Co-Founder of Pee Safe.
In addition to the DVC, Pee Safe has launched a month-long on-ground campaign, joining forces with Divya Kumari, a national-level kabaddi player turned referee, and Dr. Ankita Pathak, a former kho-kho player and current nutrition coach for the National Games 2025.
Pee Safe is also collaborating with the SRF Foundation and Akhandjyoti Foundation to host menstrual hygiene awareness sessions for underserved communities. Educational programs are being conducted in reputed schools including KR Mangalam, GD Goenka, Bal Bharati, and Delhi Public School, equipping adolescent girls with accurate information, emotional support, and hygiene essentials to manage their periods with dignity.
